The number of vacancies is provisional and subject to revision upon evaluation.

eligibility criteria

  • Qualification: MBBS with one (01) year work experience in any registered hospital.
  • All candidates applying for the above post must have recognized MBBS degree, registered by Medical Council of India or State Medical Council of India.
  • House Surgeon period will not be considered as work experience.

Salary/Stipend

  • Remuneration: Rs. 500/- per hour
  • Conveyance Charges: In case of local journey (up to 30 Kms one way), transport charges will be on actual basis subject to an upper limit of Rs. Rs.4500/- per month and above 30 Kms one-way, with an upper limit of Rs.6000/- per month depending on the case
  • Payment for remuneration and transportation will be against submitting invoices as an independent professional for providing services.

Age Limit (as on 31-12-2025)

  • Upper age limit is 65 years as on 31.12.2025, relaxable up to 70 years on approval of competent authority

  • The selection process will be through interview of shortlisted candidates. No TA/DA will be paid to the candidates called for interview.

General information/instructions

  • The selected candidate will have to produce a medical fitness certificate from a registered medical officer at the time of joining.
  • Working Hours: Four (04) hours between 01.30 PM to 05.30 PM.
  • Persons working in Government/Semi-Government/Public Sector Undertakings/Autonomous Bodies should apply through proper channel.

  • This appointment is purely on a temporary basis for a period of one year. Further renewal will be subject to satisfactory performance and at the discretion of the management.
  • For closure of part-time engagement, there will be a notice period of one (01) month on either side.
  • Late/incomplete applications will not be entertained and no correspondence in this regard will be entertained. BHEL reserves the right to reschedule/cancel/suspend/terminate the process without assigning any reason and to change the terms and conditions at any time due to any emergency. The decision of the management will be final and no appeal will be entertained.
  • Candidates working in Government/Semi-Government/Public Sector Undertakings/Nationalized Banks/Autonomous Bodies must apply through proper channel. However, in case of difficulty, they can send the application directly and submit No Objection Certificate/Resignation letter from their organization in case of selection.
  • While applying, candidates should ensure that they fulfill the essential eligibility criteria and other requirements prescribed for the above posts and the details given by them are correct in all respects. If it is detected at any stage of the recruitment process that the candidate does not satisfy the required eligibility criteria and/or does not comply with other requirements and/or has furnished any incorrect/false information or has suppressed any relevant information/material fact, his/her candidature will be rejected. If any of the above deficiencies is/are found even after appointment, his/her services will be liable for termination and appropriate action including prosecution.
  • If necessary, the management reserves the right to modify/reschedule/cancel/suspend the recruitment process without giving any notice or reason. The decision of the management will be final and no appeal will be entertained. The Company reserves the right to reject any application without assigning any reason.
  • Any legal proceedings in respect of any matter of claim or dispute arising out of this advertisement and/or any application in response thereto may be initiated only in Chennai and the Courts/Tribunals/Forums at Chennai only (Jurisdictional Courts) shall have the sole and exclusive jurisdiction to hear any such cause/dispute.
  • Management reserves the right to disqualify any candidate who is unable to produce relevant documents in proof of qualification and experience. No correspondence will be entertained in this regard.
  • Candidates are advised to have a valid e-mail ID. They are also advised to keep this email ID active for a period of at least one year, as any important information will be provided to them by BHEL through e-mail.
  • Bringing any kind of canvassing or external pressure will be a disqualification and will make the candidate ineligible for selection.
