eligibility criteria
- MD in General Medicine recognized by the Medical Council of India with at least 05 years of experience after passing MD.
- OR Must have at least 07 years of experience after passing MBBS/BHMS as a Registered Medical Practitioner.
- The Bank will give preference to doctors having MD qualification in General Medicine.
- If a doctor with MD qualification is not available, a doctor with basic qualification of MBBS/BHMS and 07 years of experience after passing MBBS/BHMS may be appointed, if found suitable.
- Doctors currently/previously empaneled with PSUs/Banks will be given preference by the Bank.
Salary/Stipend
- Remuneration: Rs. 800/- per hour.
- Appointment on contract basis; No benefits like leave, leave fare concession, provident fund, gratuity, bonus, reimbursement of medical expenses etc. are available to part-time/full-time employees of the Bank.

- The applications received will be examined by the Bank.
- Shortlisted candidates will be called for interview by email.
- On the basis of interview, final selection will be made for appointment to the post of Medical Consultant on contract basis.
- Engagement letter will be sent to the selected candidate by email.
- If the selected candidate declines or does not accept the offer of appointment within the prescribed time limit, the appointment will be offered to the next candidate from the waiting list (in order from highest to lowest) as per the interview marks.
General information/instructions
- Working Hours: 08 hours per week (Appointment days will be decided as per the convenience of the staff).
- Initially the contract period will be for two years and it can be extended by two years after each period if the performance is found satisfactory.
- The contract can be terminated by either side on two months’ notice.
- In the event of continuous absence for more than two days the Medical Consultant will have to arrange for a suitable substitute acceptable to the Bank at his own expense.
- Medical Consultants will not be eligible for benefits available to part-time/full-time employees such as leave, leave fare concession, provident fund, gratuity, bonus, reimbursement of medical expenses, brief case, newspaper etc.
- The appointment is temporary and no claim will be made for regular employment or pay and allowances payable to regular employees.
- The Bank reserves the right to change the hours and place of duty at its discretion to suit administrative and operational requirements.
- Any dispute arising out of the contract will be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of the respective state/place where the zonal office is located.
- The Medical Advisor shall maintain strict confidentiality with respect to the affairs of the Bank and its constituents and shall not disclose any confidential information.
- The Medical Consultant shall serve the Bank with honesty and integrity and make maximum efforts to promote the interests of the Bank.
- Medical Consultants will not indulge in any act of sexual harassment of any person at the workplace.
- If the medical consultant is arrested for debt or on criminal charges or detained in pursuance of any process of law, the contract may be terminated.
- The Bank reserves the right to increase the minimum eligibility standards to limit the number of candidates to be called for interview.
- The Bank will not entertain any correspondence with applicants who have not been called for interview.
